  Toronto Section - Limehouse (21.6 km) to Eighth Line (34.0 km) - September 3, 2026. Hiking With Friends knows every trick in the book when it comes to enjoying the Bruce Trail and this past week, we played our cards right and spent 4 hours exploring the reconfigured, extended route between Limehouse and Eighth Line in the Toronto Section...and I'm happy to report that it certainly trumps the previous iteration...  With a good number of our group having flown off to Scotland to enjoy the Highlands for a week, we are a smaller than usual cohort of nine for today's outing...myself, Diane, Renu, Faryde, Catherine V, Doug (H.C), Frances, Marleen, and Ivan... We quickly pass through a couple of blocks of the "House of Lime" and enter the woods off Fifth Line into the Springle BTC Protected Area...we are bidding to become the first HWF hikers to complete the new configuration in this area since it was recently rerouted, incorporating all new trail with some previous side t...

Caledon Hills & Dufferin Hi-Land Sections: Blue Side Trails - August 27 2026

  Caledon Hills & Dufferin Hi-lands Sections: Blue Side Trails Walter Tovell Side Trail, South Outlier Loop and the Turnbull Side Trail  This week HWF explored  12km of  Side Trails in the Caledon & Dufferin Section, Walter Tovell Side Trail, South Outlier Loop and the Turnbull Side Trail.  Joining the hike were SteveR, Faryde, Annette, Nancy, Laura, Ivan, Peter, Diane, FrankL, Marleen, Lesley, Barbara (HC), Sandra The weather forecast was a hi of 23oC cloudy with thunderstorms throughout the day. As it turned out,  it was a glorious day with some breeze and no  T-Storms Great trails through the Mono Cliffs Provincial Park No explanation needed here! Heading back to the cars and the end of another blue trail exploration. See you on the trail
