Beaver Valley Section #6 - Side Road 13A to Johnston Rd - from 89.5km to 74.3km

Day 2 we decided on an earlier start at 7:30am in an attempt to beat the heat expected for the day.  Joining the hike were Barbara, Frank, Sandra (Sweep), Annette (Hike Coordinator), Doug, Lesley, Stephen, Andrea, Rita, Andrew, Laura, Peter and Nancy.

The trail is varied with many hills, hardwood forests, pine plantation, boardwalks, open farmland, and several waterfalls.  Along the way are magnificent panoramic views of the Beaver Valley, the cliffs of Old Baldy and Kimberley Rock, and the distant waters of Nottawasaga Bay.

This part of the trail traverses the Beaver Valley Ski Club where we stopped for Elevenses at Sandra's family chalet. Thank you Sandra! We appreciated the opportunity to dine inside with air conditioning and a comfortable rest from the extreme heat and humidity.
