Dufferin Section - Highway 89 to 1st Line - July 10th, 2025

 



Thirteen hikers joined us on this warm humid for 14.2 km hike in Dufferin to continue their quest for their EtoE.  Today our hikers were Marleen, Peter, Laura, Doug, Josie (photographer), Andrea, Rita, Arim, Nancy, Renu (photographer), Frances, Annette (photographer and Hike Coordinator), and Andrew (photographer).  The hike was a steamy one with lots of hills and streams to overcome made ever more challenging by the extreme humidity.  Luckily, I missed the hike as I had conveniently injured myself and so I couldn't coordinate the hike while Annette graciously took over.  I apologize if the pictures are out of order as not being there, I really don't know what came when but enjoy!

It's on to the Mono Centre Brewery for much needed drinks and somewhat of a reunion with Geoff of Bermuda hiking fame minus his beard and long hair. 
Despite being a hot humid day but, everyone I talked to still thought it was a beautiful hike!

  Iroquoia Section - Crawford Lake (104.5 km) to Mount Nemo (91.0 km) - March 13, 2025. After over a month off the trail due to a seemingly endless stretch of inclement weather on consecutive Thursdays having caused frustrating cancellations, Hiking With Friends were finally rewarded with a classic late winter day to get out and enjoy our favourite walking path...and we took on a 15 km route from Crawford Lake southward to Mount Nemo with all our pent up energy (which, it turned out, was well needed to complete the journey)...and there was a nice celebration at the end to cap off a glorious outing!.. While hiking the Bruce Trail is our passion and we are seemingly quite proficient at it, our logistical organization can often be "a work in progress"...fortunately, with an experienced hike coordinator in charge, we eventually got sorted out and successfully assembled our group of 20 hikers in the parking lot at Crawford Lake to get our morning selfie shot on record...today'...

  Sydenham Section - Series #2 - June 3-5, 2025. ----------------------------------- Day One -  Blantyre (0.0 km) to 1st Concession S. (10.5 km) - June 3, 2025. A beautiful day, a modest 10.5 km hike (according to the BTC app). Even before we set off many of our hikers took no chances with mosquitoes and black flies ... from the left, Renu, Laura, Nancy, Peter, Lesley, Catherine, Faryde, and trying her best to be anonymous, Donna.
