Toronto Section # 2  - Speyside (11.4) to Limehouse (21.5) - Nov. 23 2023. Hiking With Friends visited the Toronto # 2 section of the Bruce Trail this past week for a hike of 10.1 km from Speyside to Limehouse. This is a familiar trail for many of our hikers, thru snow, mosquitos etc., but this day the weather held fair.   Joining today are Steve R. (photographer), Lesley (H.C. and photos), Laura (photos), Sandra (sweep), Frank, Andrea, Rita, Catherine, Steve K., Marleen, Liz, Rhonda, Barbara and Peter.  We start off road walking and then into the woods, which are dramatic in their starkness, now that all the leaves are gone.  There are a few technical bits to navigate. This is a great picture of Peter standing by a blue side trail marker! The tail end got a little off track! Flora along the way. Waiting our turn to cross the stile.  Sandra points the way. The wind has picked up and it is a little chillier. Elevensies at a familiar spot out of the wind.  Ropes have been added, indicat

Twelve hikers joined the hike Ron, Liz, Peter, Laura, Barbara (HC), Andrea, Lesley, Sandra (sweep), Josie, Frank, Steve K, Steve R.  A group effort for photography this week with loads of photos of the trail. The bridge pose of the week! Basking in sunshine for our Elevenses break. The trail is well sign posted as we walk through the conservation areas. Steve enjoys a moment in the sunshine! Have Laura & Peter possibly found a "marker tree"?  Their smiles say it all, it's a beautiful day to be in the forest. There was a whole lot of malarkey going on as Andrea, Peter and Ron displayed various techniques of climbing this tree.  Up and over several stiles along the trail. Our sweep Sandra points the way! Some rocky sections required care and concentration with rocks and uneven trail surface hidden u
