Blue Mountains Section - (1) Petun to Nottawasaga Lookout P.P and (2) Petun to Maple Lane - June 25-26, 2025.

  Day One: Petun Conservation Area to Nottawasaga Lookout Provincial Park (including Standing Rock and Caves Side Trail).






Day 1: thirteen HWF keen hikers joined the "bonus" hike in their quest to finish the Blue Mountain Section. Andrew (HC), Ivan, Peter, Laura, Rita, Renu, Josie, Andrea, Nancy, Lesley, Faryde, SteveR and Donna.

Thanks to Andrew for organizing the 2 days of hiking.



The weather was glorious sunshine in stark contrast to Hike 2 which was a soaker for most of the day!

  Day 2: Petun Conservation Area to the finish of Blue Mountains Section





Out came the rain gear on Day 2 as fourteen hikers headed out to tackle the last hike of the Blue Mountain Section.  Andrew (HC), Barbara, Ivan, Faryde, Josie, Donna, Laura, Renue, Lesley, SteveR, Rita, Annette, Peter and SteveK

  Iroquoia Section - Crawford Lake (104.5 km) to Mount Nemo (91.0 km) - March 13, 2025. After over a month off the trail due to a seemingly endless stretch of inclement weather on consecutive Thursdays having caused frustrating cancellations, Hiking With Friends were finally rewarded with a classic late winter day to get out and enjoy our favourite walking path...and we took on a 15 km route from Crawford Lake southward to Mount Nemo with all our pent up energy (which, it turned out, was well needed to complete the journey)...and there was a nice celebration at the end to cap off a glorious outing!.. While hiking the Bruce Trail is our passion and we are seemingly quite proficient at it, our logistical organization can often be "a work in progress"...fortunately, with an experienced hike coordinator in charge, we eventually got sorted out and successfully assembled our group of 20 hikers in the parking lot at Crawford Lake to get our morning selfie shot on record...today'...

  Sydenham Section - Series #2 - June 3-5, 2025. ----------------------------------- Day One -  Blantyre (0.0 km) to 1st Concession S. (10.5 km) - June 3, 2025. A beautiful day, a modest 10.5 km hike (according to the BTC app). Even before we set off many of our hikers took no chances with mosquitoes and black flies ... from the left, Renu, Laura, Nancy, Peter, Lesley, Catherine, Faryde, and trying her best to be anonymous, Donna.
