Dufferin Section #4 hike from Prince of Wales 40.7km to Lavender Cemetery 53.88km for a total of 13.18km  Joining the hike were  Andrew (HC), Doug, Barbara, Annette, Rita, SteveR, Laura, Grace, Peter, Sandra, Ivan, Faryde, Renu, Josie Lesley, and Marleen. This week HWF was hiking the Dufferin Section from Rock Hill 28.3 km to Prince of Wales 40.7 km for a 12.4 km hike. We had 18 enthusiastic hikers this week FrankL, Donna, SteveR, Doug, Grace, Renu, Faryde, Annette, Georgia, Josie, Frank, Rita, Diane, Lesley, Marleen, Ivan, Barbara (HC), and Andrew. The weather was perfect for hiking, starting out coolish at 17deg C and climbing to 24 deg C before the hike was over.  After the heat of the past few weeks we welcomed a lovely breeze and the cool air of the forest to keep everyone comfortable. The trail meanders through the cedar forest of Rock Hill Center with interesting rock features and crevices. Interesting Fact!   Rock Hill was famous for monster rock concerts held here in the 1960's and 70's.  Willie Nelson, Charlie Pride, The Guess Who, Chilliwack and many other rock, pop and country acts from across Canada and the world played here. A bit of a road walk takes us past Whitfield Church, which looks a little sleepy...
